Belgian Waffles
Preparation
- Soften the blended sugar and butter until mixture turns white. Add vanilla and salt.
- Add eggs one by one.
- Add lemon skin.
- Sift the baking powder mixed with flour. Combine milk and flour with the egg mixture.
- If mixture is too thick add a little more milk (mixture should be slightly thicker than for pancakes)
- First, coat the machine with a little oil and heat it.
- Bake for about 4 minutes in the preheated waffle machine.
- Serve with desired filling.
You can also freeze them by wrapping each waffle in a plastic bag. This way they can be frozen for up to 3 months. Remove them from the freezer and place directly in the preheated oven and thaw for about 10 minutes at 220 degrees.
Serving
For stuffing, you can use various marmalade, chocolate and cream with a variety of fruits and chocolate sauce ... or with vanilla cream if desired...

- 125g butter
- 1 dl sugar
- 2 tablespoons vanilla sugar
- pinch of salt
- 4 eggs
- 4 dl flour
- 1 flat teaspoon baking powder
- 2 dl milk or soft cream
- lemon peel
